    . I am helping my dad sell his huge, 45+ year personal collection of original (including some NOS), C1, C2, and C3 Corvette parts. He has a 19 year Ebay history of 100% positive feedback for buying and selling and we intend to maintain that rating. We are trying our best to accurately describe the item.     Product Description:
    This genuine 4 piece NOS 1963 and 1964 Corvette grille set was ordered from GM 45+ years ago by a friend for his split window project car and he passed away before he had a chance to install it.  GM Part Numbers 3846941, 3797235, 3797233, and 3797234.  The main grille box was already open but we opened the wrappers for photos.  Now, even boxed and wrapped up all these years, these may need just a touch of cleaning.  Since they are NOS, we are not going to do that.  We simply dusted off the grille to check for dings.  There are a few spots where the GM wrapper kinda stuck to the moldings but those few smudges will be easily removed.  You can see that in the photo of the long trim piece.  We feel any other little imperfections are factory original.  GM was not perfect.  Note that there are two dimples in the corner bend of the corner moldings.  We dug out some used original ones and sure enough the dimples are there in all of them.  So that was obviously part of the manufacturing process back then.  As for how they compare to reproductions, we have a couple of those pieces also and these factory ones are more chrome like than the brushed aluminum reproductions.  And also, the reproduction corner moldings do not have those factory dimples we noted above.  All that said, these original pieces will absolutely pass any and all NCRS judging whereas, we would think a knowledgeable judge would recognize the reproduction differences.  So, we will wrap the pieces back up in their original box/wrappings, protect them better than GM did, and then double box for shipping.  We will discuss that with the buyer prior to shipping.  Can't be many of these vintage NOS sets still out there, if any at all.  This may be your only chance.
    Shipping:
    We will securely box the item ourselves with no charge for the packaging materials or our time (no handling charges). We prefer to use the USPO or UPS but if you require other methods, we can most likely accommodate you. If our listing shows "free shipping" or a "fixed shipping charge", that is for shipping to the continental USA states. If that does not apply to you, then please contact us for the shipping charge. In all cases, you will never be charged more than the actual carrier shipping/insurance cost. And we will ship as timely as reasonable, knowing that we do travel and are out of town some. In some cases, we would like to require a signature at destination point.  Of course this can be picked up in Springfield, Nebraska (near Omaha).
