1980 Honda XR

For Auction at NO RESERVE is my 1980 Honda XR80 Dirt bike, this bike was recently recovered from storage and is good overall condition.In the last year It has a new throttle assembly, new tires front and back, new carburetor, new spark plug and the tank and fenders have been repainted with a color match honda color with new tank decals. The bike has been sitting so i do not have paperwork and although it does run, it needs to be gone through in the fuel system. It kicks over and runs but when you get on the throttle in higher gears it seems to fall on its face seeming like a carb/jetting issue because it will also leak fuel from the overflow at times. It also has a broken front brake lever as seen in photo, they're cheap and easy to come by. I have not torn into the motor or valves, just small cosmetics as i started but now after having a newborn and other projects this one is far down the list and id rather see someone else fix it up and enjoy, not to mention the collector value has gone way up on these vintage hondas. It is being sold as is where is with no attached warranties so i urge you to look closely at photos and ask any questions you may have. I want the buyer to know exactly what they're getting and feel comfortable with their bid. As i seller i try to be as honest as I can and disclose and information that i know, but sometimes things slip and thats why i urge and questions to be asked or more info requested.
Please see all photos for best description as all items are sold as is, this will include a bill of sale. It has been out of the system for 16 years. I bought it from a close friend and it was only used on private property so I DO NOT HAVE A TITLE that goes with it. Shipping is the responsibility of the BUYER , i will assist how i can when you're making arrangements and to be present to help load it but the cost is on the BUYER.
