Description

PICTURES:  Taken outside in weak sunlight against a white background. (A black background would have enhanced the color of the cabochon). NO alterations to any of the pictures.
ORGIN: Unknown, but best guess is China or southeast ASIA. Cabochon is the Jadeite variety of the two jades.
DYES AND ENHANCEMENTS; Checked out this cabochon carefully with a Chelsea calcite color filter and detected NO dying. Boiled cabochon in distilled water for 2 hours to see if any natural berry dye was used. Water remained clean. Therefore I would have to conclude the stone to be natural and not impregnated with anything to enhance the color.
Dime is for scale only.
