Description

Antique Chinese Bronze incense burner from the early Qing Dynasty.
Made during the 17th or 18th Century (1600-1799).
Finely cast archaistic Yilu form.    Rising to a waisted neck and slightly everted mouthrim.
Flanked by a pair of handles cast in the form of stylised halbred.
The base is countersunk, and cast with an apocryphal six-character Xuande reign mark within a recessed panel.
It is about 4 1/2 inches across the handles.
A near identical example was sold at auction by Sotheby's in Hong Kong on October 8, 2014, lot 3304, for HK,250 (about US,350).
