Film strips containing two original 2.25" images of Jayne Mansfield dressed in costume for her starring role in
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
. Mansfield played the role of Lorelei Lee in this stage production that toured the country. Photos were taken by Rolland Hendrickson backstage at the Melodyland Theatre in August of 1964. The musical ran for two weeks from August 18th thru the 30th.
Original contact sheet and the negatives for all the images seen. The negatives are stored - just as the photographer Rolland Hendrickson left them- in an envelope pasted to the back of the contact sheet. Also seen and included are images of character actress Renie Riano and other starlets from the stage production.

Hendrickson photographed many stars of stage, screen & television that performed in plays and musicals and one-man-shows at the Melodyland & Carousel Theatres in Southern California back in the 1960s. From his negatives he generally produced only a single portrait print of a particular actor or actress. Each of the individual negative images measure 2.25" square.
