    Description

    A small antique Chinese bronze incense burner,
    Xuande mark and period (1425-1435), Ming Dynasty, China.
    Flairing mouth, lion head handles, raised on three feet.
    Height without wooden stand: 6 cm, diameter: 9.7 cm, weight: 282 grams.
    Hallmarked with six incised Chinese characters "Da Ming Xuande Nian Zhi" (Made under Great Ming Xuande period).
    Condition: Good for its age, despite signs of wear. Please observe the photos carefully.
    Provenience:
    The Norwegian Missionary Peder Olaus Holthe (1879‑1955), acquired 1909‑1926 whilst living in China.
