    Description

    "Born Yesterday"
    . The touring company production of the 1946 Broadway play by Garson Kanin. The main characters were played by Lon Chaney as Harry Brock and Jean Parker as Billie Dawn. The earliest playdate found is early October 1948 at the Locust Street Theatre in Philadelphia. In Nov 1948 the tour was in Ohio, in Missouri late Dec 1948 to early Jan 1949, then Los Angeles mid-Jan 1949 and San Francisco mid-Feb 1949. Jean Parker left the touring company to join the Broadway production through its final performance on Dec 31 1949. Lon Chaney continued with the touring company at least through May 23-27 1950 when the company was in Albuquerque NM.
